We are seeking highly qualified academics to fill the role of Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Cyber Security at a leading research-intensive university.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to teaching, research, and administration through course development, delivery, research outputs, higher degree supervision, quality assurance, industry engagement, student support, and other administrative duties.
- Develop and deliver innovative courses in cyber security, incorporating cutting-edge research and technologies.
- Mentor students and colleagues, fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and excellence.
- Pursue research opportunities in areas such as cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, threat detection, digital forensics, ethical hacking, and data science.
Successful applicants will possess the following qualifications and skills:
- PhD in a related field with relevant work experience.
- Excellent research and publication record, or competitive research income in a chosen field.
- Demonstrated expertise in technical aspects of cybersecurity, including cryptography, secure systems, cloud computing, and threat detection.
- Proven track record of teaching and learning design, development, delivery, and pastoral care of students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Experience using and designing educational technologies and flexible delivery platforms.
- Highly developed interpersonal and organisational communication skills, and emotional intelligence.
