Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. This role involves maintaining a large fleet of cloud-hosted clusters, including Apache Kafka, Cassandra, OpenSearch, Cadence, and PostgreSQL.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of working experience and excellent communication skills. They should be comfortable working from the command line, able to follow required processes and procedures, and work effectively within a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cluster Operations: Responsible for maintaining a large fleet of cloud-hosted clusters, including Apache Kafka, Cassandra, OpenSearch, Cadence, and PostgreSQL.
  • Incident Management: Respond to customer queries and incidents, diagnose and solve complex technical issues through written communication via support tickets and occasional video-call based support.
  • Technology Expertise: Work extensively on various technologies such as Apache Cassandra, Kafka, Opensearch, PostgreSQL, and Cloud providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Tech Capability Development: Assist Level-1 team members in developing their technical capabilities on Cadence.
Requirements
  • Strong Linux Skills: Proficient in a range of technologies, with strong Linux skills and experience in cloud environments.
  • Cloud Experience: Familiarity with installing and maintaining VMs, applications, and scale management.
  • Programming Skills: Programming skills in languages such as GO, Python, Java, Bash scripting, SQL, and source code control using Git.
