Job Summary:

A successful Logistics Coordinator is required to effectively manage the planning process, ensuring timely completion of tasks and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and update transport and sub-contractor logs in real-time.
  • Communicate with drivers throughout the day, addressing any issues or concerns that may arise.
  • Book out-of-area or hazardous jobs onto the pallet network/Hazchem portals.
  • Provide quotes internally and externally via calls and emails.
  • Offer holiday cover for planners and act as lead planner during periods of annual leave.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced logistics department.
  • Strong understanding of drivers' working hours and driving time regulations.
  • Excellent geographical knowledge of UK road networks.
