Job Overview:

The successful candidate will act as the central point of communication and provide a superior level of secretarial and reception services to young people, clinical and management staff.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Medical Reception duties, including taking incoming calls and directing the caller to the appropriate member of staff
  • Appointment scheduling and maintenance of clients
  • General Office duties, including opening and distribution of mail, typing, scanning, filing, and archiving
  • Assist in the closing and securing of the building at the end of the day
  • Typing of Medical letters to members of the clinical team

Requirements:

  • Ideally a Cert III in Medical Administration or similar qualification
  • Excellent administration, time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of the health sector with an ability to liaise with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven record in working closely with and being a successful member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Well-developed customer service skills
  • Ability to think and act calmly and deal sensitively with distressed people
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • Understanding of duty of care, rights to privacy, and confidentiality
  • Must have good availability
  • Must be eligible to apply/currently hold a Blue Card
  • Must hold/be willing to apply for NDIS worker screening clearance
  • A current unencumbered driver's license
