The Role

Project Engineer Opportunity

Our Engineering Services team is seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join us at Crown Melbourne.

This role involves providing project management and technical design support across various engineering, maintenance, infrastructure, and capital works projects.

The ideal candidate will develop a strong understanding of our facility and possess expertise in engineering, design, and project financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support daily project management tasks, including timelines, budgets, documentation, and design decisions to ensure successful delivery, alongside routine engineering duties.
  • Apply effective project management strategies to plan and deliver capital projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.
  • Oversee the commissioning of new equipment to guarantee it meets safety, reliability, and efficiency standards.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered safely, meet defined scope, and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing maintenance budgets and capital project finances, promptly reporting any budgetary concerns.
  • Monitor contractor activities within your area of responsibility to ensure high-quality work completion.
  • Manage internal utility metering systems, including submeters and tenant child meters.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • A degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Robotics Engineering
  • Previous project management experience in a commercial or operational/industrial setting
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Strong ability to adapt, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise & connect with stakeholders at all levels
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Casino Special Employee License (provided by us)
