Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Lead Project Engineer to spearhead our industrial automation projects in Victoria.

The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary project team through the development, installation, and commissioning phases of large and small projects across various industries. They will be responsible for developing design specifications, selecting equipment and instrumentation, and overseeing the implementation of projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop project plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate and lead project delivery teams, resolving design issues, schedule constraints, and commercial challenges to ensure project success.
  • Formulate implementation plans for complex critical equipment installations and cutovers.
  • Solve design challenges during site installation of electrical, controls, and automation equipment, coordinating staff to ensure delivery to schedule and quality.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must hold a relevant Engineering qualification in Mechatronics, Computer Systems, Software, or similar (or show equivalent demonstrated experience in industry).

A minimum of 3 years' experience in delivering engineering projects is required, preferably in infrastructure or manufacturing-related fields. You should be confident on various PLC and SCADA platforms and related industrial and process automation concepts.

Essential Skills:

  • Possess strong numeric, technical, and analytical skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of relevant computer applications including MS Office.
