Job Summary

The Test and Evaluation (T&E) Practitioner plays a pivotal role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

We seek an experienced T&E professional to join our Land C4 Program team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and maintaining Test and Evaluation Strategy (TES), Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), and T&E related artifacts, as well as engaging with various stakeholders.

  • Drafting, reviewing, and maintaining TES, TEMP, and T&E related artefacts;
  • Test and evaluation, certification, and systems assurance, and T&E in the One Defence Capability System (ODCS);
  • Preview Test and Evaluation (PT&E), Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E), Acceptance Test and Evaluation (AT&E), Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E), and In-Service Test & Evaluation (In-Service T&E);
  • T&E planning, management & reporting, technical and professional advice;
  • Risk management and Verification and Validation (V&V), and undertaking system T&E or trial tasks and draft T&E Reports;

The ideal candidate will have relevant and recent T&E experience within the Defence industry, good understanding of Defence T&E Systems Engineering concepts, understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle), previous & current experience and thorough understanding of T&E policies, and current/active T&E accreditation (preferred).


Key Responsibilities
  1. Draft, Review, and Maintain Key Artefacts: Develop, review, and maintain TES, TEMP, and other related artefacts ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  2. Test and Evaluation: Conduct test and evaluation activities, certifications, and systems assurance within ODCS, adhering to established standards and procedures.
  3. Support T&E Activities: Engage in PT&E, DT&E, AT&E, OT&E, and In-Service T&E activities, providing technical expertise and supporting project deliverables.
  4. Provide Professional Advice: Offer technical and professional guidance on T&E planning, management, and reporting, risk management, V&V, and system T&E or trial tasks.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant and recent T&E experience within the Defence industry;
  • Good understanding of Defence T&E Systems Engineering concepts;
  • Understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle);
  • Previous & current experience and thorough understanding of T&E policies;
  • Current/active T&E accreditation (preferably).
