Job Title: Official Visitors
As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of inmates within custodial centers throughout New South Wales.
About The Role
Official Visitors work closely with inmates to resolve enquiries and complaints, monitor conditions and treatment, and provide support in custodial centers. This is an opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives and contribute to maintaining justice and order in our community.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and respond to inmate enquiries and complaints in a fair and impartial manner.
- Monitor living conditions and treatment of inmates in custodial centers.
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Develop and maintain relationships with inmates, families, and other stakeholders to promote trust and understanding.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in using software applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for training or corporate activities.
Working Conditions
This position requires frequent visits to custodial centers across New South Wales, including rural and remote areas. You must be willing to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality services.
