About Our Prison and Correctional Services Team

We employ around 2,000 staff across nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices. Our vision is to protect the public and reduce re-offending through contributions from diverse fields like correctional officers, teachers, social workers, psychologists, and supervisors of court orders.

Key Responsibilities

The Team Leader oversees workloads, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes. They ensure high-quality service provision to the judicial system, Community Correctional Centres, and other stakeholders.

Leadership and workplace supervision are crucial aspects, promoting training, performance development, and excellence. The Team Leader delivers exceptional services and promotes Community Corrections positively and professionally to all staff and stakeholders.

This includes an innovative approach to the courts interface and service delivery, as well as operational planning and integration with other areas across Community Corrections.

The Team Leader is responsible for providing top-notch assessments, advisory services, and report writing for the courts and relevant stakeholders.

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

To succeed, applicants must have tertiary qualifications in community services, sociology, criminology, justice, or a related field. Relevant leadership and communication skills are also required.

A flexible work schedule is necessary, along with a willingness to travel interstate and intrastate for meetings and site visits.
