Wildlife Attendant Job Description

At Ardent Leisure Group, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Wildlife Attendant to join our team at Dreamworld, one of the largest native wildlife parks in Southeast Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional care and maintenance for our native Australian wildlife collection, including daily food preparation and cleaning.
  • Assist with animal husbandry tasks, such as handling and manual handling, and maintain accurate records.
  • Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest standards of animal welfare and exhibit presentation.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with Australian wildlife, preferably in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • High level of physical fitness to perform physically demanding work.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Animal husbandry qualifications or progressive study towards a Certificate in Wildlife and Exhibited Animals.
  • Experience with animal handling and a good general knowledge of Australian native fauna.
