As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-level policy advice to senior leadership on complex strategic policy issues. This role involves leading and coordinating the development of OCG's responses to external policy discussions and legislation submissions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and contribute to Cabinet submissions and Coordinator-General briefings, working collaboratively with other areas of the department.
  • Maintain and foster strong relationships within OCG and across government, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Represent the interests of the Coordinator-General in departmental and external agency policy networks.
  • Drive a collaborative and proactive policy approach within the team.
  • Foster a positive and productive team culture, promoting open communication and information sharing.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge of policy and legislation development throughout the policy cycle.
  • Understanding of Government decision-making processes at both state and Commonwealth levels.
