Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Driver with excellent leadership capabilities to lead our Airside team on shift.

Main Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate team members in the Customer Delivery department to achieve operational excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure productivity and performance criteria are met in the designated area of responsibility, including completion of regular performance assessment reports.
  • Assist supervision of catering trucks within a designated work area to ensure they reach and load-up all aircraft safely and on schedule.
  • Lead by example and perform all the duties of a Driver, setting a high standard for quality and safety.
  • Supervise, train and induct workers within a designated work area to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Organise and coordinate work within the designated work area to optimise resource allocation and improve productivity.
  • Perform administrative and reporting duties as required to support business operations.
  • Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure all flight deliveries are correct to maintain customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Demonstrating leadership, decision making and organisational skills necessary to efficiently meet performance requirements in a changing work environment.
  • Hands on and display leadership by example, showcasing your expertise and experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Must hold and maintain possession of a valid ASIC card, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Must hold and maintain possession of a valid Australian state/territory MR or greater driver's license as well as the authority to drive airside ADA.
  • Fork Lift license preferred but not essential, we value adaptability and willingness to learn.
  • First Aid Certificate & WHS qualifications preferred, demonstrating your commitment to workplace safety.
  • Flexibility in working around flight schedules is essential, as we operate 7 days a week.
  • A clean Police Record as part of mandatory checks required, ensuring a safe working environment.
