Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste and Resource Recovery Professional to lead our sustainable waste management efforts in Brisbane, Australia.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced consultant to join our team and contribute to delivering high-quality environmental outcomes, practical waste and resource recovery solutions, and advisory services to our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical inputs to waste management and resource recovery strategies for private industry and local, state, and country governments.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments in the fields of environmental, market, feedstock, and technology due diligence.
  • Analyse complex datasets and provide specialist input to feasibility studies, business case development, and strategic waste and recycling infrastructure planning.
  • Develop and implement waste management plans and associated documentation for developments.
  • Prepare reports and documents that support the planning and approvals process.
  • Project manage small to medium projects to produce high-quality strategy, market assessment, technology, and other advisory documentation.
  • Provide advice and assistance to clients, team members, and project managers on best practices and principles.
  • Contribute to winning work by developing proposals, identifying opportunities, and drawing on your client relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or a related field.
  • 12-15+ years' experience in waste and resource recovery management with significant skills in data analysis, strategy, due diligence, market assessments, report writing, and environmental assessments.
  • Working knowledge of Australian and New Zealand environmental legislation and policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Strong capabilities in waste advisory and diligent project delivery.
