Role Overview
As an NDIS support worker, you will be responsible for working with participants to achieve positive outcomes such as employability skills, social skills, independence, personal development, improved quality of life and enjoyment.
Key responsibilities include providing support to participants with high support needs, delivering flexible services online, face-to-face and facilitating small groups in activities.
Additionally, you will be required to provide a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, communicate effectively to advocate for your clients in their workplace, build positive relationships with client's employer, team members and stakeholders, use initiative and problem-solving skills to assist clients to maintain their employment and administer and record case notes accurately.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Current Full Australian Driver's Licence (essential)
- Meet the current COVID-19 Vaccine requirement – medical exemption acceptable (or willingness to obtain)
- Relevant NDIS / DHS checks and clearances in accordance with the role requirements (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Manual Handling Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Child Safe Environments Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with interpreting, referencing and providing support from clinical support plans (essential)
