About the Role:

  • Effectively oversee the day-to-day F&B operations to elevate the guest experience and deliver a high standard of quality service.
  • Be adaptable with a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Lead by example, be committed to best practice, display a passion for hospitality and motivate the team to deliver great service.
  • Provide 'hands on' leadership and ensure the team deliver a consistent high standard of customer service.
  • Direct and assist F&B Attendants to carry out the daily duties required to operate the outlet.
  • Liaise between Management, kitchens, conference and events, bar and staff to proactively prevent issues arising and effectively resolve issues as they occur.
  • Balancing the float and takings and completing the end of day reports.
  • Minimise breakages, wastage of food, beverage and consumable goods.
  • Manage difficult situations including customer complaints and intoxicated guests.
  • Ensure staff complete training requirements.
  • Report hazards & risks to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the role, eg working on your feet & heavy lifting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a food & beverage team leader role with in a 4-5 resort or similar environment.
  • Certificate III or IV qualification in hospitality, desirable.
  • RSA Certificate, essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team to follow procedures and provide on-the-job training.
  • Barista, food & beverage knowledge & skills.
  • Knowledge of food & beverage procedures, sequence of service, table settings, order taking, bookings, billings & POS experience.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, time management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent personal presentation.
