Job Title: Residential Care Assistant House Supervisor

The role of the Assistant House Supervisor involves overseeing the daily care of young people by residential care workers within their designated residential care home, particularly when the House Supervisor is unavailable.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career in residential care and work collaboratively with a team of dedicated professionals.

As a key member of our Out of Home Care Program team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of residential care workers to provide high-quality care to children and young people in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and lead a team of residential care workers to ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Develop and implement behavioral management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive living environment for residents.
  • Provide support and guidance to residential care workers to help them develop their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in residential care, preferably in a therapeutic setting.
  • Relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four (4) mandatory competencies (Residential Care Skillset/Top Up Units).
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal culture, values, and awareness of issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and families.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory Criminal History Check.
  • Employee Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
