The Gateways Support Services vision is to help provide support for children and adults with a disability and their families to maximise their quality of life. We are looking for a dedicated disability support worker to join the friendly, supportive and positive Residential Support Worker team in
**Greater Geelong and Barwon region** for a
**part time, 40 hours per fortnight** opportunity.

Our staff are made up of mountain bike riders, comedians, skiers, surfers, video game superstars, movie buffs, musicians, cat people, dog people and more. At Gateways, we all have one thing in common,

**The role**:
You will take an active and holistic role in providing support and assistance to people with disabilities within a residential setting.

**At Gateways we work on a fortnightly, Week 1/ Week 2 roster, our work weeks run Thursday to Wednesday. The roster for this position is as follows**:

**Week 1**:
Friday - 2:45pm-10pm + sleepover

Saturday - 7:30am-10am & 2:45pm-9pm

Wednesday - 3pm-6:30pm

**Week 2**:
Friday - 2:45pm-10pm + sleepover

Saturday - 7:30am-10am

Sunday - 10:15am-3:30pm

Wednesday - 7:15am-9:15am & 3pm-6:30pm

**What you will need to start with us**
- A passion for supporting people to live their best lives.
- Highly developed problem solving skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- A current Victorian Driver's License
- Working with Children Check (Or willing to obtain one)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (Or willing to obtain one)
- Hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Or willing to obtain one)

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
