Specialist Gastroenterologist
">The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in gastroenterology and hepatology, and participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities as required. The specialist will work under the General Medicine Department at Canterbury Hospital, providing care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver disorders. In addition to inpatient consultations, the specialist will also participate in the Liver Clinic and contribute to an academic environment that fosters education, research, and professional development.

- Provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in gastroenterology and hepatology.">
- Participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities under the General Medicine Department.">
- Contribute to the Gastroenterology/Liver consultant roster, including inpatient consultations and the Liver Clinic for ambulatory care of patients with hepatitis and related complications.">
- Support education, research, and professional development in an academic environment.">
Qualifications:

- Registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).">
- Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Gastroenterology) or other equivalent specialist recognition.">
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.">
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.">
