Job Overview

The role of a medical specialist in gastroenterology is to provide high-quality clinical management and consultation services to patients with conditions related to the sub-specialty. This position is based at Gosford Hospital, where the specialist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

  • Provide clinical management and consultation services to patients with conditions related to gastroenterology at Gosford Hospital.
  • Participate in an on-call roster, including emergency endoscopy procedures for Central Coast Local Health District.

This is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified medical practitioners to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate will be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or have equivalent specialist recognition.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Medical Practitioner registered or able to be registered in Australia, inclusive of an unrestricted 19AB exempted provider number.
  • Recognized specialist qualifications, Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
  • Appropriate experience to practice as a senior medical practitioner in gastroenterology.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in supervising and training junior medical staff, including prevocational and advanced trainees.
  • Demonstrated interest in quality improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated commitment to caring for the coast vision, goals, and strategies, with demonstrated behaviors that align to the NSW core values and CCLHD values and behaviors charter.
