Job Overview

A mechanical design engineer is required to drive the development of innovative data center designs that meet global quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate cooling systems using in-depth knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) principles to make data-driven decisions aligned with established guidelines.
  • Drive successful project delivery while maintaining high-performance standards through effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams.
  • Apply innovation to reduce power usage effectiveness (PUE), water consumption, and capital expenditures (CAPEX) while increasing operational efficiency.
  • Develop comprehensive mechanical documentation, including narratives, drawings, specifications, and other relevant materials.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the organization to enhance overall performance and productivity.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Sigma Six or HELYX CFD modeling software.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Thorough understanding and application of fundamental principles, theories, and concepts in mechanical engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in designing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineer-in-training or Chartered Engineer designation.
  • Understanding of building controls documentation and its relevance to data center operations.
  • Programming skills in Python and artificial intelligence (AI) tools.
