About the Role

We are looking for a game-changing professional who is a leader in their field and is looking to make their mark. The successful candidate will have a strong background in rail engineering and design, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain professional working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintain the quality of output produced by the engineering and drafting team.
  • Ensure technical solutions delivered during the study and design phases are compliant with design review processes and design quality requirements.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of project design teams and provide input and feedback as needed.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and draftspersons through practical guidance during the design and commissioning phases of projects.
  • Provide technical support and input to proposals, customer presentations, and other marketing and business development activities.
  • Prepare design scope, budget, and schedule for written proposals.

Requirements

  • 10 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering or a design delivery role.
  • Proven experience in rail and wider civil projects.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering.
  • Member of Engineers Australia with Chartered Status (CPEng) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience managing the interaction with clients on design and drafting issues.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional knowledge of engineering designs and calculations.
  • Experience in design and project management.
