Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Land Access Adviser to join our team in Brisbane. As a key member of our Onshore Development Business, you will lead and contribute to negotiations for land access contracts, develop negotiation strategies, and conduct discussions with landholders and their legal representatives.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiations: Develop a negotiation schedule aligned with Santos Board and Partners Investment Decisions approvals.
- Project Management: Contribute to providing land access intelligence for Santos Sub-surface and Field Development Teams to quantify access risk and opportunity.
- Contract Management: Draft and finalize land access agreements that comply with relevant Acts and Contract Law. Participate in mediations, including alternate dispute resolution, where complex negotiations exist.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong business partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- High proficiency in land access, contract law, petroleum construction, land valuation, agriculture practice, and stakeholder management.
- High proficiency in negotiation capabilities, including the ability to influence outcomes.
- Mediation and dispute resolution skills to help resolve conflicts.
- Strong business planning skills, including attention to detail, prioritization, and managing critical path milestones.
- Strong computing skills and the ability to effectively utilize support systems.
We are looking for a professional with strong communication skills and demonstrated experience in the above areas. Ideally, you hold a relevant tertiary qualification in law, business, or a relevant field. While industry experience is preferred, we value transferable skills, a hunger for knowledge, and a commitment to hard work.
