The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Land Advisor/Principal to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing land access for our pumped hydro energy storage projects.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing and implementing a land access strategy that aligns with our sustainability approach and builds local community trust.
  • Managing land access planning activities, including agreement making, permits to access or disturb, and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Driving the management of properties across our portfolio, ensuring timely social license and land access for project developments.
  • Providing advice and support to the project delivery team on land and property management.
  • Responsible for tenure administration, managing systems, monitoring processes, and initiating proactive innovations to improve operational efficiencies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Formal tertiary qualifications in property, law, agriculture, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience in landholder relations, land securement, property management, or a related role.

You will also have:

  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with the management of a diverse property portfolio, including rural, residential, and commercial properties.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiation of property transactions, including lease and license contracts, purchase of land by agreement, and disposal of property assets.
  • Skilled in relationship building and stakeholder support, with a high standard of written and verbal communications.
