Quality and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality and Safety Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a positive quality and safety culture throughout the organization, coordinating quality improvement initiatives, and maintaining accurate data entry of quality, safety, and risk information.
Key Responsibilities- Actively promote a quality and safety culture aligned with processes, policies, and legislation
- Assist in the coordination of quality improvement initiatives to maintain positive consumer outcomes
- Maintain accurate data entry of quality, safety, and risk information
- Effectively manage the feedback and complaints process, liaising with relevant managers to close reported matters
- Gather information relating to incidents and events, and provide support to managers to investigate and close matters
- Maintain the annual audit schedule to monitor internal safety and compliance standards
- Schedule and coordinate safety and compliance training as required
- Assist with the preparation of reporting as required
We are looking for someone who is extremely organized and can effectively manage large volumes of information. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- An exceptional level of attention to detail
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- A practical thinker with the ability to use their initiative
- Able to effectively prioritize tasks and act with a sense of urgency
- High levels of computer literacy
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards is an advantage, but not essential
- Previous experience in the aged care sector or another environment that faces complex legislative changes is an advantage
