Maintenance Technician Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of equipment. This is a full-time day shift position that requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all equipment within the site to prevent breakdowns.
  • Ensure health and safety best practices are followed in all work carried out.
  • Respond quickly to equipment failures, communicate effectively with affected teams, and work efficiently to resolve the issue.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by learning from equipment failures and providing feedback and suggestions for enhancements through your supervisor.
  • Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
About the Role:

The Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfillment centers. We are a technically-minded team made up of excellent team players guided by experienced leaders.

Requirements:
  • Hold one of the following trade qualifications: Certificate III In Electrotechnology with a current electrical trade license or Certificate III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, equivalent trade qualifications formally recognized in Australia.
  • Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
  • Ability to diagnose faults within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
  • Capacity to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.
  • Experience working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
