Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators. As an English Teacher at Freeman Catholic College, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students, inspiring them to achieve their full potential through engaging and rigorous pedagogy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, leveraging formative and summative assessments to drive student progress, and employing data-informed approaches to set challenging learning objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
- Demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach English. The ability to teach Extension English is advantageous
- Utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
- Employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
- Commit to student learning growth, and encourage all students to strive for their personal best by setting high expectations and adopting a strong work ethic
- Support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
- Integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
- Support the co-curricula life of the College
Remuneration: Our competitive remuneration package includes a salary range from $85,000 to $122,100 per annum, with the potential for additional benefits such as salary packaging and professional development opportunities.
About YouTo excel in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Education
- Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead
