About the Role
In this key position, you will be responsible for providing physiotherapy services to our residents, including assessing their needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of residents' physical abilities and develop tailored treatment plans to improve their mobility, pain management, and overall well-being.
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary care planning to identify and address the complex care needs of our residents.
- Develop and implement proactive, evidence-based reablement pathways to support residents' recovery and independence.
- Mentor and support students on placements, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within our team.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Physiotherapy, with current registration with AHPRA.
- Knowledge of residential aged care practice, including understanding and experience of AN-ACC.
- Experience working from a Healthy Ageing approach, with a focus on person-centred care.
- Demonstrated commitment to meeting the needs of internal and external clients, with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Proficient computer skills, including Google Suite and in-house databases.
- A basic knowledge of the Aged Care Standards, with the capacity to apply for a provider number.
