Lead eTrading Systems Architect

This role involves spearheading the development of innovative electronic trading systems to support the bank's digital transformation.

  • You will be responsible for designing and delivering cutting-edge solutions that enable real-time pricing, negotiation, and trade execution across geographically distributed environments.

As a key architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our electronic trading platform by developing and implementing scalable, low-latency systems.

The role requires:

  • Strategic technology direction for the team
  • Managing complex software systems
  • Thought leadership for system architecture
  • Improving and updating current system capabilities
  • Low latency concepts and distributed engineering expertise
  • Streaming and service subscription services design
  • eTrading systems performance tuning/optimisation
  • In-depth exposure to international eTrading/pricing systems

Key skills required include:

  • Java (8/17)
  • Spring Boot
  • Distributed systems architecture
  • IRS market platforms such as Tradeweb and MarkitWire
  • Strong understanding of IRS instruments, pricing conventions, and swap templates
  • Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Redis, SNS, SQS), Kafka/EventHub, DevSecOps/CI/CD technologies
  • Experienced in using Agentic AI to assist engineering efforts
  • Knowledge of quant libraries and risk analytics integration
