Forklift Operator Job Opportunity

This role is focused on leading a team in the efficient and safe loading and unloading of trailers and containers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading trucks, trailers, containers, and rail wagons with minimal delays.
  • Inspecting freight to ensure accuracy against customer delivery records.
  • Maintaining load restraint procedures as per national regulations.
  • Palletising and packing loads for secure transportation.
  • Handling general and non-standard freight items.
  • Ensuring Forklift Team adheres to Work Health and Safety legislation and standards.
  • Leading and managing staff, allocating duties and responsibilities effectively.
Requirements and Expectations:
  • Holding a current LF High Risk Work license.
  • Proven experience operating a forklift in a logistics environment.
  • Maintaining a high level of safety awareness when moving freight.
  • Knowledge and skills in load restraint procedures.
  • Awareness of Chain of Responsibility principles.
  • Able to lead a team of forklift operators effectively.
  • Holding a HC license or expressing interest to obtain one is advantageous.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Licenses: LF High Risk Work license
  • Experience: Operating a forklift in a transport environment
  • Skills: Moving freight safely and efficiently, knowledge of load restraint procedures, leadership skills
