Job Description:

This role combines administrative precision with physical freight coordination, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of air and ocean freight solutions across Australia.

You will be responsible for performing day-to-day freight forwarding tasks, including quoting, bookings, documentation, customs coordination, and issue resolution.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with warehouse, transport, and third-party vendors to support physical freight handling and data entry.

Accuracy is key as you enter and update data in DHL systems and operational platforms.

Additionally, you will assist with sales invoicing, costing, and closing out files to meet month-end timelines.

Effective communication with customers, internal teams, and logistics partners is crucial to upholding service excellence.

This role also involves ensuring all operations meet local and global compliance standards.

Finally, you will collaborate with team members to ensure continuity and seamless service during peak periods or absences.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding operations, preferably with air and/or ocean freight handling.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in data entry and other tasks.
  • Confidence in working with operational systems, particularly those used by DHL.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and pitch in with freight handling tasks as required.
