Our Weipa Operations are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Maintenance Professional to join our team. As an essential member of our operations, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our electrical infrastructure.
Job Description:- Carry out routine maintenance on high and low voltage electrical infrastructure and equipment across the Andoom, Weipa and Amrun sites.
- Conduct statutory electrical checks on site and town-based low voltage electrical infrastructure, including cathodic protection systems, airfield lighting, switchboards, equipment and town distribution networks.
- Fault find and maintain electrical equipment during breakdown situations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to high standards of safety and eliminate critical risks.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical infrastructure and equipment.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems.
- Identify and report any electrical hazards or defects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- A trade qualification – Queensland Electrical Trades Licence (or equivalent with the ability to acquire the Queensland licence).
- Manual C-class driver’s license.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
- Sense of ownership of the equipment and a mindset of continual improvement.
- Competitive base salary of $120,000 per annum, reflective of your skills and experience.
