Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Rio Tinto's Weipa Operations in Far North Queensland. This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary and a range of benefits, including full relocation assistance.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine maintenance and breakdown repairs on our electrical equipment and assets. This will involve working autonomously and as part of a team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining and replacing electrical equipment and assets
  • Executing planned and unplanned breakdown maintenance
  • Troubleshooting, calibrating, repairing, and servicing fixed plant instrumentation and electrical assets
  • Working at heights activities
Requirements
  • A commitment to safety and a strong work ethic
  • A manual C class drivers' license
  • A trade qualification – Queensland Electrical Trades Licence (or equivalent)
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • The ability to communicate effectively within a team environment
