As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals with disabilities to lead independent lives and participate fully in their communities.
Our goal is to maximize independence and functional skills, allowing participants to achieve the best quality of life.
- Key Responsibilities
- Provide domestic and personal care
- Assist with transportation
- Support academic development
- Manage medication
- Build on individual strengths and enable individuals to reach their goals
- Encourage community participation
- Facilitate group centre activities
- Use a hoist for safe transfers
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A current Police Check, Working with Children Check or NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A current driver's licence
- A car, registration, and insurance
- Current First Aid and CPR training
- The NDIS Orientation Module
- The NDIS Infection Control Module
- A Certificate 4 in Disability or Individual Support
- Excellent communication skills
As a casual employee, you will work varied shifts, including afternoons and days, and may be required to travel to different locations. A commitment to providing exceptional support and a passion for working with people with disabilities is essential for success in this role.
