About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a Hotel Operations Manager at our Veriu Central hotel in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the front office, providing exceptional guest services, and creating memorable experiences for our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the front office, including managing complaints, problem-solving, team management, training, rostering, and timesheet approvals.
  • Ensure the front office provides a high level of guest service, including check-in, check-out, and during-stay interactions.
  • Develop innovative ways to leave a lasting impression on our guests and drive customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new sales leads and encourage the team to do the same.
  • Manage emergency situations in a safe and professional manner.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH TEAM MEMBERS AND GUESTS.
  • Provide support and assistance to the Hotel Manager in higher-level hotel management and administrative tasks.

  • Approved Australian working rights (Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or a Visa with approved working rights).
  • First Aid Certificate (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (or ability to obtain before starting).
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including public holidays on rotation with other team members.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team, with a focus on kindness and achieving outcomes.
  • Ability to problem-solve and manage escalated complaints with effective resolutions.
  • High standards of attention to detail and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in a customer service role.
