Job Summary

This exciting opportunity offers a $120,000 - $180,000 per annum salary, reflecting the critical role you'll play in ensuring seamless, secure, and sustainable platforms for our customers.

You'll work on a broad range of initiatives, from cloud migrations and infrastructure as code to networking and deployment. If you enjoy variety, experimenting with modern tech, and solving interesting challenges at pace, this may be the team for you.

About the Role

As a Platform Engineer at Zip, you'll be an SME in infrastructure and CICD Operations. You'll ensure the platforms underpinning our customer experience are reliable and streamlined. Your expertise will shape our technology function, driving innovation and growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures using AWS services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive CICD pipeline development and maintenance
  • Migrating applications to cloud-native environments, leveraging containerization and serverless computing
  • Troubleshooting complex technical issues, applying problem-solving skills and creative thinking

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Practical knowledge and experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes administration, and Linux shell scripting
  • Proficiency in Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent infrastructure as code tools
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and pipeline development (Gitlab, Bitbucket)
  • Strong understanding of networking, web security, and infrastructure architecture
  • Aptitude for identifying and managing risks, with effective communication and collaboration skills
