Job Profile

We are seeking an accomplished Crewing Manager to oversee the regional APAC Fleet and Offshore Projects.

The successful candidate will lead a skilled team, ensuring all offshore personnel have the required experience, qualifications, competence, and medical fitness to deliver high-quality operations.

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with leadership skills and substantial experience in international crewing within the Offshore Energy Sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, direct, and support the Asia Pacific Crewing Team to ensure safe travel, schedule adherence, and compliance with local government requirements.
  • Manage, mentor, and support the APAC Crewing team, including team capability development, resource planning, and work allocation.
  • Be responsible for Subsea and Marine crew competence and capability development, ensuring safe manning and compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Interface with Project Managers/Vessel Masters/Superintendents and communicate project and client crew competence requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with Vessel Masters to discuss and manage crew matters, including training, performance, and well-being.
  • Resolve swiftly, respectfully, and fairly any crew disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Oversee the recruitment of Casual Subsea Project Crew and Marine Crew and be involved in the recruitment and selection of Senior Permanent Marine Crew.
  • Ensure effective implementation and compliance of crewing systems, processes, and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Leadership skills and substantial experience in international crewing in the Offshore Energy Sector.
  • Conversant with Maritime and Offshore Energy Industry codes and legislative requirements.
  • Tertiary Qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Personal attributes that would support success in this role include resilience, ability to work under pressure, strong listening skills, and passion for continuous improvement.
