This role is focused on enhancing the organisational safety and wellbeing culture, working collaboratively across various industries.
The Health and Safety Advisor will contribute to developing and maintaining a strong organisational safety and wellbeing culture by providing technical advice, creating safety management system documentation, training, and auditing.
About The Gig:Reporting into the Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will be responsible for championing a positive and robust Health and Safety culture at all levels of the organisation.
You will participate in risk management activities, including facilitating risk assessments, contributing to the development of SOPs, conducting control verification and providing advisory services.
Key responsibilities include driving safe systems of work, quality incident investigations and the delivery of visible and felt leadership through the implementation of learning, coaching and monitoring client groups.
Additionally, you will provide practical and collaborative solutions to Health and Safety issues, respond to hazard and incident reports, ensure information is accurately recorded and resolutions activities are responded to efficiently or escalated to the appropriate stakeholder.
Further, you will perform regular reports and detailed analysis of safety and environmental information, and create end user documentation that is easy to understand and easy to follow.
Requirements:- A contemporary health and safety professional with the ability to integrate the safety agenda into broader organisational objectives in a non-traditional environment.
- An engaging and people-focused approach, building relationships and credibility through collaboration, lead consultation to truly understand the motivations and intent of the organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in providing practical Health and Safety advice that can be easily understood and acted upon.
- Experience across risk assessments, hazard identification and management.
- Experience leading incident investigations and debriefing.
- Ability to create simple, practical yet effective user-focused documentation.
- Experience in continuing the improvement of the safety management system and in producing data to contribute to effective reporting.
This role offers a relationship-based organisation, a learning organisation - information sharing is very important, honouring flexibility at work - this role could be 4 or 5 days a week and can accommodate flexible daily start and finish times.
