Your Key Role
As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will continually enhance the performance of our environment, health, safety, claims, and injury management by developing, implementing, and maintaining key EHS processes aligned to regulatory requirements. Your focus on sustainability will drive a positive impact on our operations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create, implement, and maintain local EHS procedures and standards.
- Promote EHS incident and risk management practices through coaching and support to ensure timely reporting, recording, investigation, and sharing of learnings within the organization.
- Implement and monitor behaviour-based safety programs.
- Advise on compliance needs and suggest methods for meeting them.
- In consultation with business leaders, drive the injury management agenda to support key performance indicators.
- Identify barriers to safe return to work and arrange risk assessments.
- Collaborate with internal and external resources to ensure EHS compliance, training, and system maintenance.
About You
- Experience in EHS roles within manufacturing environments with demonstrated OHS/environmental performance improvement.
- Understanding of business challenges and constraints faced by line managers in implementing EHS processes.
- Relationship management experience with internal clients and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience participating in third-party audits and corrective action planning.
- Detailed knowledge of EHS legislation and industry standards (AS4801 and/or ISO14001).
