Healthy Food Specialist

About Our Team

We are passionate about educating our children to know the importance and benefits of healthy choices and nutritious meals. We're looking for a Cook team member who can help us create and implement healthy menus that meet the needs of all children.

The Role:

  • This role enables you to play an active part in creating healthy menus that cater to different dietary requirements and allergies.
  • You'll have access to a national network of centre cooks who regularly share recipes, ideas and tips.
  • You'll also be encouraged to utilise the amazing feed Australia program – a free program enabling cooks to plan, budget and access healthy menus to enable children's growth and development while in child care.

About You:

  • Efficient and capable cook with excellent time management skills and experience in bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management and budget control.
  • Able to prepare, implement and evaluate the nutritional content of menus for children of all ages.
  • Strict about complying with relevant food safety and hygiene regulations and standards.
  • Keen to participate in early educational opportunities of teaching children about healthy food by sharing in lessons and family events.

What We Offer:

  • Current Food Safety and Handlers Certificate.
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (equivalent desirable).
