Job Title: Financial Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Australian tax compliance, including corporate tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other direct taxes.

The Role:

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely corporate income tax and fringe benefits tax returns.
  • Review and manage monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Produce regular reporting outputs for Finance, highlighting key financial metrics and trends.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and provide expert advice on potential impacts.
  • Complete annual deferred tax reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review payroll tax obligations and implement process improvements to optimize tax efficiency.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities to resolve any tax-related issues.

What You Need:

  • At least 1-4 years of experience as a Tax Accountant, with a strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with process improvements and automation initiatives is highly desirable.
