**Job Overview:**

The role of a Nutrition Support Assistant is crucial in delivering high-quality patient care. Working under the supervision of a registered dietitian, this position involves supporting the nutrition care team by performing various clinical and non-clinical tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the clinical dietitian with the implementation and monitoring of prescribed nutrition care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Apply evidence-based clinical nutrition and therapeutic diet protocols as delegated by the supervising dietitian.
  • Facilitate patients' access to food and fluids according to their specific nutritional needs.
Requirements:
  • A Certificate III in Nutrition & Dietary Practices or an equivalent qualification; OR a Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics); OR a degree in Nutrition.
  • Previous experience working as a dietitian assistant or in hospital healthcare settings.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
  • Knowledge of nutrition support principles and a commitment to safe delivery of care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
