
Nutrition Care Support Specialist

This position plays a vital supporting part in the delivery of high-quality nutrition care services under the supervision of a registered dietitian.
Responsibilities include:
- Implementing and monitoring prescribed nutrition care plans in conjunction with the supervising dietitian.
- Applying clinical nutrition and therapeutic diet protocols as delegated by the team leader.
- Facilitating access to food and fluids for patients on specific dietary plans.
Qualifications and skills required for success in this role are outlined below.
- A relevant certificate or equivalent qualification such as Certificate III in Nutrition & Dietary Practices.
- Prior experience as a dietitian assistant or healthcare professional is highly valued.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and provide safe nutrition support, coupled with strong commitment to learning.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills are also necessary.
