The role of the EAL/AMEP Teacher at Chisholm Institute of TAFE requires a professional educator to provide teaching and vocational expertise across all aspects of delivery, planning, and performance. This position focuses on excellence in learner support, teaching delivery, learning assessment, resource development, and educational administration.



Key responsibilities include:




  • Planning and delivering education practices and sessions that cater to diverse learners' needs and styles.
  • Developing and delivering tailored teaching sessions using technology, such as Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs.
  • Designing and developing teaching and learning resources, including materials in various formats, to suit different learning styles.
  • Enhancing the student experience to promote early engagement, prevent attrition, and encourage success.
  • Supporting learners to improve their employability and life skills.
  • Completing workplace visits during placements to assist students and enhance learner skills.
  • Maintaining high-quality teaching delivery, assessment, and student engagement strategies to support learner success and contribute to the achievement of Chisholm's shared goals.


To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent qualification.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in adult education, preferably with a postgraduate degree in TESOL.
  • Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) or a current Employee Working With Children Check.


This opportunity offers a competitive salary range of $78,564 to $111,391 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
