About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Administrator to join our team at Transgrid. As a key member of our commercial management team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful delivery of our major projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation, review, and management of contracts, professional services contracts, and procurement documents.
  • Support the administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
  • Review, challenge, and validate the Contractor's cost plan, ensuring that the cost plan is current and reflects all developments in the project.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, cash flow, and financial reports.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines.
  • Assist in the monitoring of project progress and performance against baseline schedules.
  • Engage with Delivery Partners, Contractors, Suppliers, and Stakeholders, fostering effective communication and coordination among all parties involved.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualified in quantity surveying, construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant experience in site engineering, contract administration, quantity surveying, or project controls within the construction industry.
  • Understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project controls.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in contract and cost management.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply contract terms and conditions.
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in managing payment claims and reimbursable contracts and payments.
  • Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., AIQS, RICS).
  • Knowledge of local construction regulations and standards.
  • Experience with construction management software (e.g., Team Binder).
