Job Description

As a skilled Oncology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient-centered care in our dynamic Cancer and Wellness Centre. You will work closely with a supportive team to ensure safe and evidence-based practice in chemotherapy and related treatments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing advanced oncology nursing care and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Assisting the Unit Manager with day-to-day coordination of patient flow, staff allocation, rostering, and resource management.
  • Leading and participating in quality improvement initiatives, identifying and mitigating clinical risks, and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and national guidelines.
  • Maintaining core clinical competence specific to the area of clinical practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Registered Nursing degree and current registration with AHPRA.
  • Experience in oncology or cancer care (day medical or in-centre).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a busy, dynamic environment.
