Network Operations Specialist

We are seeking a Network Operations Specialist to oversee the day-to-day management of network operations, including troubleshooting, project planning, and performance monitoring.

This role requires a deep understanding of network infrastructure and a proactive approach to improving network performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of network-related projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues arising during project implementation phases, including testing and deployment.
  • Respond to and address incidents escalated by the service desk team.
  • Plan and implement network-related projects, including upgrades, new installations, and enhancements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and timelines are adhered to.
  • Monitor network performance to assess the need for updates, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
  • Recommend and implement options for improving network performance and reliability.
  • Ensure all network documentation and procedures are current and accurate.
  • Create and update network diagrams, configurations, and process documentation.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Network Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Routers, Aruba switches, Fortinet, Juniper, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Thorough understanding of switching protocols, including VLANs, Spanning Tree, HSRP/VRRP, LAG, and other switching protocols used in Enterprise Networks.
  • Experience configuring Firewalls, Wireless Controllers, and Access Points.
  • Experience with Voice and SIP call flow troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and SBCs - Audiocodes experience is a bonus.
  • In-depth understanding and experience of routing protocols.
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPSec Site to Site VPN's is a must.
