
Improving Workplace Mental Health through Project Coordination

Job Description:
The Mind Your Head project aims to improve workplace mental health and prevent injuries before they occur. As the WHS Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in developing best practice systems and procedures to enhance psychosocial safety at work.
This is a two-year contract position aligned with grant funding. You will be responsible for coordinating the project in South Australia, working closely with union, business, and government stakeholders.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and onboarding of project workplaces, officials, HSRs, and management representatives
- Supporting unions, workplaces, and HSRs to implement learnings and improve control of psychosocial hazards
- Administrative tasks including report writing and budget management
- Scheduling and managing all meetings and workshops involved with project rollout
- Contributing to social media and other communication activities
- Contributing to and assisting with analysing and presenting research findings, including case study material
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant experience in a role involving work health and safety
- Understanding of the process of consultation in the risk management cycle
- Practical experience in a workplace advocacy setting
- Strong understanding of work health and safety principles and workplace rights
- Proven experience in developing and leading projects and managing project resources
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage and inspire
- Strong organisational, interpersonal, and relationship management skills
