Job Opportunity

This role is a key leadership position that requires timely, accurate and persuasive policy and program advice to stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience in managing strategic policy and/or programs, leading a small team, and representing the organization at various levels.

We are seeking an experienced professional who can provide high-quality policy and program advice to support the organization's goals and objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Managing strategic initiatives;
  • Leading a team of professionals;
  • Representation and advocacy relating to health service delivery, health information, research, public health and health programs;
  • Promoting, developing, and expanding the provision of health and wellbeing services;
  • Liaising with stakeholders, governments and organizations.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, policy, or relevant work experience;
  • Demonstrated experience leading policy and/or programs work is essential;
  • High levels of initiative and a strong work ethic;
  • A strong background in public, social and/or health policy or programs (desirable);
  • Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgement;
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically;
  • Ability to deliver projects and/or policy initiatives to the required standards and timeframes;
  • Outstanding writing skills and strong verbal communication skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills across a range of settings and an ability to collaborate and influence at senior levels.
