Senior Energy Policy Advisor

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our team in delivering the annual Default Market Offer, shaping energy policy, and representing our organisation to stakeholders.

The successful candidate will oversee diverse professional skills to deliver high-quality results, advise senior executives and the Board, and ensure effective communication across the organisation.

  • Develop and implement energy policy initiatives to protect consumers.
  • Lead a team that delivers the annual Default Market Offer.
  • Advise the Board and Senior Executive Team on regulatory matters.
  • Represent the organisation to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic leadership of the team responsible for delivering the annual Default Market Offer.
  2. Development of policy and regulatory initiatives to achieve organisational objectives.
  3. Representation of the organisation at stakeholder events and meetings.
  4. Effective communication with the Board, Senior Executive Team, and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., law, economics, business administration).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in energy policy, regulation, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
