About This Role

  • We're seeking an experienced journalist to write, edit, and present high-quality news for our regional Victorian listeners.
  • Conducting and editing interviews for inclusion in local news bulletins is also a crucial part of this role.
  • Collaborating with our regional news team to assist with story and bulletin production will be essential.
  • Presenting bulletins on-air for regional Victorian markets is another critical aspect of this position.
  • Writing, editing, and publishing news stories for station websites will also be required.
  • Reporting from the field and attending media conferences, doorstops, police incidents, and other news events as needed will be necessary.

Requirements

  • You should have strong on-air presentation and writing skills.
  • Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications is essential.
  • A good understanding of the law as it relates to media, particularly in the areas of Defamation and Contempt of Court, is also required.
  • A passion for news and a solid understanding of sport is necessary.
